A Six-Point Program for Balanced Security

The national Executive Committee of the Federation of American Scientists released on July 25 the following “Statement of Views on a Balanced Security Program,” which was prepared by the Los Alamos Branch of the Federation. This “Statement of Views” was submitted on July 16, by representatives of the FAS Los Alamos Branch, to Chairman Lewis L. Strauss of the Atomic Energy Commission, during a visit to Los Alamos.
