Data leaks are now so common as to be almost banal. Most of us give little thought as to who takes responsibility for them, except perhaps to assume that it is the corporate entity that owned the information. Yet there is one species of professional all too aware of where responsibility lies, because it's with them. These are Information Security Managers (ISMs), and they know that their heads are on the block when a data breach occurs.
