Basic Builds

I recently did some consulting for a small Web shop in San Diego, California. Actually, it only felt small; the company created and maintained 12 large Web sites with various content. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) was in despair—every time the sites were deployed or updated, some huge complication downed one or more of the production sites for long periods of time. The business folks were coming down hard on him—they calculated exactly how much money the company lost each time the sites went down. The CTO asked me to do a quick Software Configuration Management (SCM)-related evaluation of the development group. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
