Whitehats scored a series of victories this month, severely hindering several botnets in what amounts to an orchestrated campaign by the security community to mitigate the spread of command and control servers. The Waledec and Miraposa botnets both bit the dust, and the Zeus network suffered substantially after an upstream provider serving several rogue ISPs was taken offline.
