Future of Blockchain

Focusing on the future of Blockchain technology, in this chapter, the author shares his views of the future and the future thinking from a few of his colleagues from around the Blockchain world. There will be a number of new business models created using Blockchain technology and other emerging technology. The ecosystem is developing at speed with a great mix of organizations – large organizations, start-up, and end customers are all working together on use cases and driving the rapid development of Blockchain technology. By 2020 there will be large roll outs and wider areas of business utilizing Blockchain technology, as more commercial benefits will be found and more efficiencies achieved. The author explains what circular economy is, why it is important and examines how Blockchain can facilitate the circular economy. He presents several contributors’ thoughts and opinions on the future of Blockchain technology.
