Most teachers need to create worksheets for their students. There are plenty of ‘ready made’ ones on the Internet: try typing ‘efl OR esl’ worksheets into Google. Many are excellent: Macmillan's well-known Onestopenglish, for example, or the redoubtable Boggle's World. The problem is, however, that most of this material is either difficult to amend or else cannot be altered at all. It is provided as a JPG image or as a PDF file, and you have little option but to take it or leave it. What resources are available to those teachers who wish to create their materials from scratch? Many teachers like revising vocabulary with word searches, the grids of letters with words that run horizontally, vertically or diagonally in any direction. You can make them easily enough yourself, of course, with simple word-processing skills. But if you just want to type in a list of words and...
