Report One went on to describe the access negotiations and my conversations with Mr Paddock before the observation began. Report Two covered the day of fieldwork on which Bernard coughed: The target pupil in 4J was not Bernard that day but Aaron, and most of the account of Mrs Bamff’s cookery is focused on him. The incident of ‘Bernard coughing’ is only referred to in passing.
