The Technology

Erik Sherman · Apress eBooks · 2004

Geocaching is one of the few sports that depend on technology. Certainly people could pursue it in a low-tech manner, and those who enjoy scuba diving could switch to snorkeling and simply hold their breaths. Borrowing more heavily from orienteering or letterboxing, significant clues could help direct someone on the hunt to the right spot. But the challenge can be so much greater when you find yourself somewhere within 50 feet of what you seek and all those trees, rocks, and other potential hiding places are taunting you. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
