I’m guessing that since you’ve picked up this book, you already have more than a passing familiarity with Java. You may have noticed over the past few years that text-based output formats have been at the forefront of the Java world. Certainly XML is perhaps the most talked about output format, and HTML is definitely the most widely used. Whilst these formats are fantastic in terms of ease of creation when dealing with simple, static content, creating complex output from dynamic data can prove to be much trickier, and maintaining that content is even harder. Some of you may be thinking that the problem is solved, in part, by JSP. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
