Reproducible Data Analysis and the Open Source Paradigm in Archaeology
Archaeology, Benjamin Ducke · 2016
Archaeology can be practiced as a modern science. There is a wealth of material evidence to be sampled, quantified, and subjected to statistical and computational analysis. Some of the discipline’s greatest innovations derive from its overlap with other scientific fields, including DNA analysis, radiocarbon dating, dendrochronology, provenance analysis, geophysical surveying, remote sensing, agent-based models, and GIS.
