E-commerce: A Brief Introduction

Adrian W. West, Steve Prettyman · Apress eBooks · 2018

E-commerce websites accept payment in exchange for goods or services. A user orders from a range of goods or services displayed in the website’s catalog pages. The details of the user’s orders are stored in the website’s database. Money passes from the user to the website owner. This is achieved by means of a payment system incorporated into the website. Finally, the ordered items are delivered to the user. Users can track the progress of their orders, update their account details, and, if necessary, contact a customer support department. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
