Principles for computer crime legislation

Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) believes a special set of laws governing crimes relating to information technology is important. The issues and problems created by technology can at times outpace society's ability to contend. Business, society and the process of criminal justice are all at a disadvantage when forced to make the current laws fit technology crimes. Today's laws can be applied with varying degrees of success.
