DNA‐Based Reversible Circuits

This chapter explains the reversible logic gates and the composite circuits by using logic gates based on DNA. To make this understand to the readers, it discusses in detail the necessary figures and expressions. The chapter describes the features of DNA-based reversible gates, DNA-based reversible NOT gate, DNA-based reversible Ex-OR gate, DNA-based reversible AND gate, DNA-based reversible OR gate, and DNA-based reversible Toffoli gate. Reversible DNA-based composite logic has been realized by a half-adder circuit using a DNA-based Toffoli gate. There are two Toffoli gates used in this circuit, one for the AND operation and the other for Ex-OR operation. Three inputs have been fed in the AND gate that produces an output of AND operation and two outputs that remain the same as the first two inputs.
