RDP bug in older Windows versions leaves millions vulnerable to ‘wormable’ attack

A flaw in Microsoft's implementation of the remote desktop protocol (RDP) has made millions of endpoints vulnerable to attack. The so-called ‘BlueKeep’ (CVE-2019-0708) vulnerability could be relatively easy to exploit, requiring little more than sending a specially crafted request to the Remote Desktop Service of a target machine via RDP.
