As we have mentioned already, the Oracle Cloud Free Tier is giving you access to a subset of cloud services. But you might have extra needs that would require some services not part of the Free Tier. For example, you want your APEX application to send emails; you would like to use Functions; you would like to leverage other great services like Streaming, Integration Cloud, Data Safe, Analytic Cloud, and so on. So you would need to upgrade your account. The first section of this chapter will explain the options you have in regard to upgrading your account to a paid account.
