Sequential Order Statistics
Erhard Cramer · Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences · 2004
Abstract Sequential order statistics have been introduced in order to model effects of component failures on the reliability ofk‐out‐of‐nsystems. Aside from this interpretation, they are related to several other models of ordered random variables such as Pfeifer's record values and generalized order statistics.
