Introducing Printing, Plotting, and Layouts

This chapter stars with an overview of the plotting features in AutoCAD and then delves into the finer details of setting up the drawing and controlling the plotter or printer. In this chapter, user will learn to understand the plotter settings, use layout views to control how the plots look, add an output device, and store a page setup. The chapter explains, how the Plot command works and plot the plan drawing by using the default settings on the system. User will start by getting a preview of the plot before he or she commit to printing the drawing. The chapter explores all of the settings in the Plot dialog box and these settings give control over the size and orientation of the image on the paper. They also let user to control which part of the drawing gets printed. All of these settings work together to give control over how the drawing fits on printed output.
