Tile-based maps are the easiest way to construct dynamic worlds for 2D games. Such maps are described by a grid, where each cell belongs to one possible type. Most map formats allow the concept of layers in their rendering engine. A single cell can have multiple graphics that render to the same location of the map. In this chapter, I will discuss and solve the following common problems: These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
