Gordon Campbell, Thomas N. Corns, John K. Hale, Fiona J. Tweedie · Oxford University Press eBooks · 2008
This chapter reviews stylometric methods used in author identification. It compares De Doctrina Christiana with canonical works in Latin by John Milton and a selection of Latin prose by other early modern authors. It concludes that the manuscript was of Miltonic authorship, attributing its differences from his other prose works to the influence of genre.
