Operator Reference

Rob Tiffany · Apress eBooks · 2003

The ability to manipulate and filter the data you’re retrieving is one of the most important features of a database. SQL Server CE 2.0 provides you with an array of operators designed to help you accomplish that goal. Technically speaking, an operator is just a symbol that specifies an action to be performed on one or more expressions. Whether you need to perform a mathematical operation against the values in two different columns or you just want insight into their equality, SQL Server CE has 30 different operators to help meet your needs. While the intent of this chapter is to serve you as a reference, I thought it would be helpful to provide you with an example for each of the operators.
