Testing and Verification of the MUSIC CDMA Receiver

Kluwer Academic Publishers eBooks · 2006

We describe in this chapter the real time testbed facility that was set up to validate the MUSIC receiver, from the features of signal, interference and noise generation down to the hardware architecture and the ultimate receiver performance. The ultimate purpose of the testbed was actually two-fold: on the one hand it helped debugging the MUSIC receiver (thus getting rid of any possible implementation bug); and tuning the diverse loop parameters. On the other, it allowed us to carry out the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance characterization in a synthetic environment that closely mimics the features of a typical satellite communication downlink. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
