Integrated amplifiers

W. Gosling · 1975

Integrated (or microelectronic) circuits are systems of interconnected transistors, diodes, resistors, and capacitors, just as discrete component circuits are. The difference is that the monolithic integrated circuit is formed entirely within a single crystal of semiconductor, silicon, all the components being formed and interconnected in a single series of processing operations. This book is concerned with application, not fabrication, so we shall not describe these production processes.
