Closed-loop Power Control
Kluwer Academic Publishers eBooks · 2005
In this chapter, we investigate the effect of power control error of a closed-loop power controlled CDMA system with imperfect power estimation. By use of a simplified log-linear power control model, the power control error of a strength-based power control algorithm is studied in the presence of narrowband interference. Analytical and simulation results show that for normal load ( K ) of CDMA systems when the ratio of the narrowband interference power to signal power ratio is less than 10dB, the power control error caused by narrowband interference is very small, whereas when the ratio is large (larger than 10dB), the power control error increases dramatically.
