Security Architecture and Engineering (Domain 3)

Mike Chapple, David Nils Seidl · 2018

This chapter presents multiple-choice questions related to information security architecture and engineering. One of the questions relates to the security administrator for a consulting firm and must enforce access controls that restrict users' access based upon their previous activity. Once a consultant accesses data belonging to Acme Cola, a consulting client, they may no longer access data belonging to any of Acme's competition. Other question relates to a security administrator with the federal government and wishes to choose a digital signature approach that is an approved part of the federal Digital Signature Standard under FIPS 186-4. Other question relates to an employee who conducted an inventory of the cryptographic technologies in use within her organization and found the following algorithms and protocols in use.
