Domain 5: Operations

Ben Malisow · 2018

This chapter introduces questions related to some significant new concepts, such as the physical design of a data center and the attendant standards and guidelines, restating some material such as multitenancy and resource pooling for candidates seeking Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification. One of the questions concerns the security officer for a small cloud provider offering public cloud IaaS, whose clients are predominantly from the education sector, located in North America. Candidates are required to suggest him the technology architecture traits that his organization would most likely want to focus on. Other question relates the security manager for a small retail business involved mainly in direct e-commerce transactions with individual customers. The bulk of his market is in Asia, but he does fulfill orders globally. The Candidates are required to suggest him the Uptime Institute rating system he should use to choose a new cloud computing provider in view of his existing provider changing its business model at the end of his contract term.
