Samsung drives multiple modes of mobile biometrics but suffers recall setback

Samsung is developing multiple modes of mobile biometrics but has recalled its flagship Galaxy Note 7 with iris recognition. Princeton Identity has agreed to license its iris recognition technology to Samsung Electronics for use in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and other mobile devices. Samsung has also recently announced wireless earbuds featuring biometric technology and it also appears that Samsung is thinking of adding fingerprint authentication to a future version of its Gear Fit and possibly an iris scanner to a future version of its Galaxy VR headset, reports Patently Mobile .
