Messiah spyware infects Middle East targets

An information-stealing trojan – dubbed ‘Madi’ (or ‘Mahdi’, meaning the Messiah) by its discoverers Kaspersky Lab and Seculert – has infected more than 800 targets in the Middle East. It appears to be a relatively crude piece of malware, yet surprisingly effective.
