In this chapter, we’ve covered a very interesting topic in ASP.NET: session management. Using ASP.NET to provide session management in Flash/ASP.NET applications allows us to accomplish some very important tasks, especially when we’re dealing with applications that require data to be passed through more than one page, or among users in an application. We’ve also learned how to extend our Whitewater Rampage application from the previous chapter, by adding a session-based ASP.NET-based shopping cart, and how to provide an extra level of security for the web services that we create in .NET. Using all of this information, it’s possible to accomplish some very advanced tasks when creating Flash/ASP.NET web service-based applications.
