Middle East oil firms hit by massive attacks

Oil firm Saudi Aramco may have had as many as 2,000 servers and 30,000 workstations infected by malware known as Shamoon. Although it was a targeted attack, the aim seems to have been to destroy data rather than steal it. Qatar-based RasGas has also suffered a major malware infection.
