Microservices are becoming more popular and widely used these days. This is not a surprise; this software architecture style has many advantages, such as flexibility and ease of scale. Mapping microservices into small teams in an organization also gives you a lot of efficiency in development. However, going on the adventure of microservices knowing only the benefits is a wrong call. Distributed systems introduce extra complexity, so you need to understand what you are facing and be prepared for that in advance.
