Talking pictures

Computers present new opportunities for using pictures as a means of communication. This article describes a prototype hotel booking system which uses icons to allow a potential guest and hotel manager to communicate. The system is an initial attempt to create an interactive, iconic dialogue using hotel booking as a theme.
