In Internet of Vehicles (IOV), there is a lot of information transmission. Security and efficiency on the authentication of vehicle identity and information are very important problems. Certificateless aggregate signature (CLAS) scheme can improve the computation and communication efficiency by aggregating n signature into one signature. In this paper, as cases, for Wang and Zhang’s CLAS scheme in IOV proposed recently, we present a forgery attack on their scheme and we show that their scheme cannot resist forgery attack from the adversary who can replace the public key of the vehicle. We also give a security analysis that Wei and Jiang’s attack on Hashimoto and Ogata’s CLAS scheme is not correct and the attack cannot success if two identities for the vehicles are different. So, these insecure cryptographic schemes or security technologies cannot be applied in practice and it is important to integrate courses for ideological and political education on cryptography or network security into the postgraduate or undergraduate curriculum system. As an improvement, finally we also present an improved scheme and extend Wang and Zhang’s CLAS scheme with good efficiency.
