Input Devices

Abstract Input devices are fundamental to interaction with computer systems. They provide users with the ability to communicate effectively with machines by sensing information about the real world. In this article, we examine several types of input devices in use today, which include pointing devices, joysticks, and motion trackers. We also explore input device characteristics, how they can be classified and categorized, their internal workings, and their strengths and weaknesses.
