Getting Started with Java Programming
Perry Xiao · 2018
This chapter shows how to download and install the Java Development Kit (JDK) software. It introduces popular Java text editors/integrated development environments (IDEs) and shows how they handle simple Java Hello World programs. As technology professionals do with any programming language, to write a Java program they need an IDE, which can make programming much easier. In addition to the text editors and IDEs, there are many online compilers, which means technology professionals don't need to download and install the Java JDK or an IDE onto their computer. Online code converters can translate an application's source code from one programming language into the source code of another programming language. Many free Java resources are available online. The Java comprehensive tutorials from Oracle show technology professionals how to create applications in an easy and simple way. For software developers, version control means maintaining a history of the software development.
