So far all exchange of data between ourselves and our Pascal programs has been via the standard INPUT and OUTPUT devices of the computer. Frequently we would like to save our results for future use, to use the output of one program as the input for another one or, if our standard output device is a VDU, to obtain a printed record of our results.
