Generalized dither

The dither control is generalized for a class of plants with non-linearities inaccesi-ble to standard dither signals. It is shown that in this case the amplitude of the dither signal should be chosen as ε -r, where 0 ≤ ε ≤ 1 and r is the relative degree of the transfer function preceding the memoryless non-linearity
