Tempo-rhythm, voice and movement
Nick O'Brien · 2010
We all have a tempo-rhythm. Our tempo-rhythm depends on events, our mood and our actions. Our tempo-rhythm is a reflection of our actions and objectives. We can be perfectly still, yet have a fast tempo-rhythm. I often ask students to tap out the tempo-rhythm of their character in a scene or bit of the play. This helps you to understand the objective and action and therefore the pace of the scene.
