An intelligent hand-washing monitoring platform based on gesture recognition technology

This paper uses gesture recognition technology based on YOLO v3 to successfully identify and detect the seven steps of the seven-step hand-washing method prescribed by the hospital. The paper also uses TensorRT to improve the trained seven-step hand-washing gestures recognition model and increase its detection frame rate on video files. Finally, the model runs on NVIDIA’s Jetson Nano, a smart mobile terminal, which is able to detect the hand-washing gestures in real time with a camera and other equipment for convenience.
