Alberto Medeiros Jnior, Marcos Credidio Mello, Gilberto González Pérez · 2014
This research analyzed both quantitatively, using factor analysis, and qualitatively, using the Delphi Technique, the IT professional expectations regarding Cloud Computing. It was identified that the IT professionals looks for flexibility and agility to manage change by reducing deadlines for new product launches, rapid return on investment and increase the available resources, especially for increased resources for the core business and reduce capital expenditures. On a smaller scale, they seek to reduce risk and IT costs, easier administration, use benchmarking and latest applications. Some characteristics of Cloud Computing have been identified and qualified, although it is not yet possible to quantify the results of these benefits. Finally it was found that the benefits of cloud computing beyond the boundaries of IT and promote cost savings and greater agility to manage change and reorganize processes, influencing even the development and launch of new products. Moreover, the financial risk is also lower, since large investments in infrastructure for the development of new projects, which do not offer guaranteed returns are not required.
