Parallel Concordancing and Its Applications

Two parallel concordancing programs for Windows (Paraconc and Multiconcord) are described in detail and compared. A range of actual and potential applications is then discussed, including materials design for language learners and for translator framing, investigations of translator behaviour, support for bilingual lexicography, and contrastive grammar studies.
