The deployment strategy of access points (APs) has a direct impact on Wi-Fi network performance, which in turn directly affects the production efficiency of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) system. Most existing researches on the AP deployment problem have more or less deficiencies in considering scenarios, geometric dimensions and optimization goals. Our goal is to achieve an automatic optimization AP deployment mechanism that can be directly applied to actual applications. To achieve this goal, we consider the three-dimensional heterogeneous medium environment, take the overall signal strength of end devices as the optimization goal, and propose a heuristic algorithm to solve the optimization problem. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.
