Silverlight includes a number of features that allow developers to integrate their applications with a user’s system. These features include notifications, interaction with legacy COM applications and libraries, access to a user’s web camera and microphone, and better access to the operating system, such as enabling the Silverlight application as a drop target. In this chapter, we will discuss and try out a number of these features. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
