Google puts biometric tech at the heart of plans to replace passwords
Biometric Technology Today · 2016
Google has released further information about plans to develop an alternative to passwords that will include biometric measurements, reports TechCrunch. According to the so-called Project Abacus, users would unlock devices or sign into applications based on a ‘trust score’, calculated from factors including typing patterns, location, speed, voice patterns and facial recognition. Google is calling this trust score ‘Trust API’ and is reported to be trying it out at a number of banks starting in June.
