Genetic Programming for Modeling a Nonlinear Optical System

Genetic Programming (GP) is used to construct a model that describes the dependency of the refractive index of a γ -irradiated optical GRIN fiber on both the wavelength and the dose of the γ -radiation.The GP based discovered function shows good agreement with the previously published experimental data carried at a certain wavelength for different γ radiation doses.
