Telegraphy is a communication system of sending an information/signal or message from one place to another. The messages are expressed with the help of words and words are made of letters or characters. The “telegraphy” is a technique of sending massages from one place to other. In Morse code, the letters are represented by “dot and dash”. In single current method , the current flows through the line in same direction during the signal period only and no current flows during the space periods. In double current method the current always flows through the line, and during space periods it flows in opposite direction. The morse code is uneven and of non uniform length, because the no. of elements in all the characters is not same. The American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) code is a 7 bit code. It is a alphanumeric (alphabet, numbers etc.) code very much used by teletypewriters (TTY).
