Variations in Verbs and Clause Structures of the English Reports Based On Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology

With the springing up of artificial intelligence, the impacts of it plays an ever-growing role in all lives. This paper, based on the theories of variations in verbs, studies the tense, aspect, voice, modality, and clause structure of English reports concerning the Artificial intelligence which are abstracted from March 10 to March 17 of 2021 on the China Daily official website, with combination of the quantitative and qualitative analytical research methodologies. The statistics present that in the variations of verb phrases, the modal will which is used for prediction is the most frequent occurrence. With regard to the clause structure, subordinators, subordinators, object clauses and parenthesis are typically adopted in the complex sentences of the news reports.
