Mexican banking body mandates biometrics

The Mexican National Banking and Security Commission (CNBV) has passed a law mandating biometric technology in banks, to address the growing issue of identity theft. According to local reports, the country's banks will all have to implement fingerprint biometric technologies within the next year.
