At the Sixty-fourth Annual Meeting of the American Roentgen Ray Society, held Oct. 8–11, 1963, at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal, Canada, Ralph M. Caulk, M.D., of Washington, D. C, succeeded Earl E. Barth, M.D., of Chicago, as President. The new President-Elect is Harold O. Peterson, M.D., Minneapolis, Minn., and other officers are as follows: First Vice-President, Jarrell E. Miller, M.D., Dallas, Texas; Second Vice-President, Donald L. McRae, M.D., Montreal; Secretary, C. Allen Good, Jr., M.D., 102–110 Second Ave., S. W., Rochester, Minn.; Treasurer, Stephen W. Brown, M.D., Augusta, Ga. The Chairman of the Executive Council is J. P. Medel-man, M.D., White Bear Lake, Minn. Harold G. Reineke, M.D., of Cincinnati, Ohio, is Chairman of the newly created Advisory Committee on Education and Research. The Caldwell Lecture, entitled “Should More Radical Treatment be Attempted in Breast Cancer?” was delivered by Robert McWhirter, Professor, Radiotherapy, University of Edinburgh; Director, Radiation Services, The Royal Infirmary and Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, Scotland. The next annual meeting of the Society will be held at the Radisson Hotel, Minneapolis, Minn., Sept. 29–Oct. 2, 1964.
