Pakistan Telecommunication Authority completes biometric mobile phone tracking process

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has completed the first phase of a biometric process designed to link citizens to their mobile phones with the aim of being able to track terrorists. The second phase of biometric verification for individuals who have two SIMs issued on their CNICs was underway at press time.
