Shellshock bug has security experts in a panic and hackers searching for exploits

A number of serious bugs in the popular Bash shell have been identified. Now labelled ‘Shellshock’ (or ‘Bashdoor’ or ‘Bashbug’), this group of vulnerabilities is being hailed as the biggest security issue in recent times – or at least the biggest since Heartbleed caused widespread panic in the IT industry.
